AWS Auto Scaling

AWS Auto Scaling monitors the CPU resources and adjusts them as needed: Auto Scaling is used to increases the server instances during traffic peaks to maintain performance and response times and decreases the server instances fully automatically during times with lower traffic to minimize costs. AWS Auto Scaling guarantees fast performance - even under load peaks and under heavy load (50,000 simultaneous visitors and more are no problem).

Whenever a customer visits your store, the customer's request is forwarded to the load balancer, which distributes the request to the auto scaling groups. Depending on how busy (or underutilized) the EC2 instances are, new instances will be automatically started or removed by AWS Auto Scaling.

This is perfectly tailored for PHP e-commerce applications like WooCommerce, Magento or WordPress with a huge workload that have to serve several thousand customers per second.
