General questions

Managed hosting means that we take care of the complete administration, maintenance, monitoring and, of course, security of your server for you. You do not have to do anything yourself and worry about nothing technical.
Amazon Web Services does not provide ready-to-use solutions, but individual components that must be installed according to the modular principle. AWS does not take care of setup or the management of your infrastructure. In order to leverage the powerful, flexible and scalable AWS cloud infrastructure and maximize performance and security, the online retailer must either hire additional staff or work with a partner specializing in these challenges, such as StorePace.
The monthly total price consists of two cost aspects: costs for the AWS infrastructure (servers, databases, caches, etc.) and costs for the 24/7 administration of your infrastructure.
AWS Charges
The AWS on-demand scalability is accompanied by billing models that are fundamentally different from traditional hosting offerings. Instead of paying a fixed monthly fee for a server, cloud hosting instances are typically paid by actual usage or amount of data. Please check out our AWS Price Estimate site for further information.
Administration costs
Our prices start at 49, - EUR (net plus VAT) - please visit the details site of the hosting plan you are interested in (either a single server environment or a multi server environment) for a detailed overview of our prices. Tailor-made solutions that deviate from our hosting models are of course also possible.

There is no minimum contract period.
No, not only, although WordPress/WooCommerce and Magento are our specialty. We also work with PrestaShop, OpenCart and Laravel/Symfony applications. Feel free to contact us if you need hosting services for any other shop system or blogging software.
First, we will agree with you the most appropriate hosting model for you - either a single server environment, a multi server environment or a custom solution. For the latter, we will tailor the concept for your future environment to your needs and send you an offer for your cloud infrastructure. After placing the order we start with the implementation.

Once the server landscape is set up, we will make a copy of your online store in the new environment and make the necessary configuration to adapt your shop as well as possible to the new conditions (from the security, availability and performance perspectives). Then the test phase begins, which ends only when you and we are completely satisfied with the result.

In the last phase, we upload a current copy of your database, change the DNS record to the new IP address, and switch to LIVE mode. Congratulations! You now leverage the powerful, flexible and scalable AWS cloud infrastructure and professional managed hosting from StorePace.

Amazon Web Services

AWS is the undisputed leader in public cloud services. It will enable your business to grow in a very convenient and flexible way, so you do not have to adapt to the technological environment that drives your store - it will adapt to your business! An overview of the most important components and what they are used for can be found here.
You should use the data center that is closest to your customers. Of course we will advise you in this regard and configure your AWS account accordingly.
This depends on many factors, such as the number of page views and the size of your assortment. It is not possible to make a blanket statement. Of course, we will advise you on this matter and find the right solution for you.
T2 are so-called "burstable" instances. At low load, this instance type collects CPU credits, which it can then use during busy periods. Thus, T2 instances are particularly well-suited for web servers where CPU usage fluctuates.
Of course, this is possible in the AWS cloud - the dimensioning of the cloud instances can be adapted by us at any time, which is one of the key benefits of cloud computing.
It is possible to run multiple stores on one AWS EC2 instance. But we strongly advise against it. The reason is that the performance will suffer. We therefore recommend that you operate each store on a separate AWS EC2 instance.
The AWS cloud allows its users to scale both horizontally (additional server instances) and vertically (more CPU, RAM, disk space). So, when we talk about scalability, we're talking about the flexibility that AWS gives you over other cloud providers. An example would be AWS Auto-Scaling.

The vertical scaling is done manually by us. If, on the basis of measured values in our monitoring system, we recognize that the current instance is no longer sufficient, we will change the instance type after consulting with you. A single server environment requires a reboot of the system.

Horizontal scaling works automatically within the parameters that were initially passed.
Of course we can. We offer tried-and-tested concepts for WordPress/WooCommerce, Magento, PrestaShop, OpenCart (and many more).
A redundant environment is when instances (web server, database, caches) are at least duplicated, and if one instance fails, another one immediately takes over. This increases the reliability.
The following services are protected by AWS against DDoS attacks by default: Route53, S3, CloudFront, ELB. In addition, we take the following precautions:

  • Activation and administration of AWS-Shield
  • Separation of networks and establishment of publicly inaccessible network areas
  • Network ACL rules between the networks
  • Firewall rules on the web servers
  • DDoS-Monitoring

Migration to AWS

First and foremost, we get an overview of your current situation. Thereafter, all AWS infrastructure precautions are taken and set up. Next, a copy of your store and database will be moved and made available at Only after you have made sure that the copy is working properly, it comes to a short downtime in which we make a new fresh copy of your store, move the original database and adjust your DNS entry. In this way we guarantee a smooth and fast migration with our team of specialists.
To make all the arrangements for a move, we usually need a working day. If it is a more complex installation with multiple web servers, the procedure can take up to 3 business days.
Yes, there will be a short downtime, depending on the size of your database. The larger your database, the longer it takes to copy it. As a rule we are talking about a downtime of 10-20 minutes.
We strongly recommend using the AWS DNS Server. AWS guarantees an uptime of 100% for this service. Furthermore, it is protected against DDoS attacks.
Of course we will do that. Otherwise, if you do not want to use your old one, there is still the possibility that we set up a new free SSL certificate for you. All certificates, whether existing or new, can be imported into the AWS infrastructure and later used directly through AWS.

A 24/7 emergency service, personal support during the migration and in the daily business and a close cooperation with developers is a matter of course.

Your systems are monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In case of anomalies we react in, we respond in max. one hour to restore the availability of your infrastructure and analyze and fix the errors. Recurring administrative tasks such as operating system and security patches/updates or backups are carried out regularly by us.

Please visit the details site of the hosting plan you are interested in (either a single server environment or a multi server environment) for a detailed overview of our service offer.
We're not only monitoring the hardware and software of your cloud infrastructure (such as CPU, RAM and SSD utilization), but we also track important metrics of your shop system, such as: The loading times of your start page and product catalogs, or error messages within the shop software. As soon as certain limits are reached, our monitoring system alerts and informs the responsible administrator, who immediately takes care of the resolution of the anomaly.

We are very flexible in this regard due to our long experience and do not make any restrictions.
